How Am I Billed?

Luca’s hourly rate is currently $215.00 per hour. Empyrean Law bills in 6-minute increments, and offers discounted rates for certain services. As our client, you will receive a monthly statement on the first or fifteenth day of each new month.

All clients are expected to maintain a monthly retainer of $3,000.00 before services will continue. Clients who are buying or selling residential real property are exempt from providing a retainer fee.

Can I Use Insurance?

Some general liability or D&O policies include a provision permitting the Insured to select their own attorney in the event that litigation is filed against you or your business. Empyrean Law may review your specific policy to determine if you have the right to select your own counsel.

Empyrean Law may offer insurance coverage analysis for certain types of losses.

Am I Billed Separately For Each Task?

Yes. Your monthly statement will show each individual task on which Empyrean Law did work. We never bill in “blocks” by lumping like activities together, which is often confusing to customers. For each dated entry, you will notice a detailed description, a quantity of hours spent, and the applicable billing rate.

Drafting assignments usually incorporate time for research, analysis, document review, and writing. This practice is industry standard.
